Sarabi
With windows on three or four walls, Sarabi is our brightest room. It's also gigantic and feels both airy and grounded, with soft textures, natural wood, and so much light.
At Sarabi's heart is a one-of-a-kind detail: the hand-laid mosaic tile floor in the bathroom.
When you walk outside you'll be greeted with a surprising amount of plants on your deck in which to nuzzle a cup of good coffee or a cocktail and your favorite person.
I have found that, more than the other rooms, if people stay in Sarabi first, they don't seem to want to try other rooms when they come back.
Traveling with friends? Fort Mose is your closest room.

Our
Lioness
From Josie,
For you 90's kids, Sarabi is Simba's mom. 🤣 I wanted the logo to be a lioness and who better to represent anything than her I ask you? She is the only room not named for something local.
"You're going to do your first ever tile job as a super complicated mosaic in your new expensive investment?" Someone said to me as I approached the tile cutter. "Yep," I replied, ignorantly confidant.
A guest once noticed that the mosaic started at a single point and continued unbroken past the shower lip and and I have never loved a compliment more. It wasn't hard work by any means, but it took weeks and weeks of sun-up to sun-down days. It made me cocky enough to add a mosaic to Isabel's bath too, though that project was a lot harder.
Because of the abundance of natural light, Sarabi was the first room I lived in when I came to Saint Augustine. It was tiny then, I took out a back laundry room to double its size and it turned out to be such an absolutely lovely space that I love very much.
